A lot of improvements are planned at the Crawford County Fairgrounds near Meadville. The fair board is planning to invest $100,000 in upgrades and renovations before the 2013 fair opens in August.
Some of the projects include improved electrical service, roof repairs for some animal barns and the construction of a new draft horse barn. County maintenance crews will do some of the work, contractors will handle the rest.
Since the mid 1970's, the fair board has invested more than $3 million to improve the fairgrounds.
