Rep. Ryan Bizzarro Honors Erie Priest

On Saturday, State Representative Ryan Bizzarro, D-3rd District, honored Father Nacopoulos of Assumption Greek Orthodox Church.

Father Nacopoulos was excited by this honor, but said he isn't the only one who deserves it.

"This award belongs to the whole community," said Father Nacopoulos. "Because without the support of the people, we wouldn't be able to do nothing."

Rep. Bizzarro said that he feels it is important to recognize community leaders.

"This is one of the more glamorous parts of the job because you really get to give back to the people who have given so much to the community," said Bizzarro.

Father Nacopoulos has been serving the Erie community for 50 years.
