For the sixth year, Gannon University has been raising money for breast cancer with their Pink Zone fundraiser.
The women's basketball team wore pink in their game against Clarion on Saturday as part of the fundraiser.
The fundraiser began when of the team member's mother's was battling cancer.
So far, they've raised over $67,000 to help with breast cancer. Organizers say the community support has meant so much to them, and the survivors.
"We honor the survivors throughout the game and that's what its all about," said Lisa Wenner, of the Pink Zone Committee. "Its about the people who are battling. This year, they're dividing the money between the American Cancer Society Making Strides and Linked By Pink. So all the money stays here in Erie, and that means the world."
This year, they're hoping to raise $20,000.
