Multi-Vehicle Accident Ties Up Traffic On I-90

Snow squalls Saturday afternoon may have been the cause of multiple accidents on Interstate 90.  The accidents happened just before noon near Exit 35.   One vehicle went into the median, and another collided with a tractor trailer. Traffic was restricted to one lane for a period of time.

Drivers in the area say that white-out conditions were a factor in the accidents. State Police report a few instances of vehicles sliding off the highway.  A couple of people were transported to UPMC Hamot for treatment although police tell as that no one was seriously hurt in accidents.
