Another community search is scheduled Sunday afternoon for a missing Erie teenager. According to Erie Police, 17-year old Jacob Samusenko disappeared from his East 2nd Street home January 29. He was last seen taking out the trash.
Last week, family, friends and neighbors got involved by canvassing Jacob's neighborhood. A large group of volunteers knocked on doors, passed out flyers, and combed wooded and brushy areas looking for any sign of the teenager. They had no success.
Sunday, they plan another search from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM. Organizer Adrian Ewing plans to set up a command post outside the Sloppy Duck restaurant and bar on the west bayfront. He welcomes volunteers. Ewing says mounted sheriff's deputies and outdoorsmen will assist in the effort this time. They plan to search wooded areas in the city beyond the missing teen's neighborhood.
