Fire Tears Through Home In Greene Township

One family is without a home Sunday, after an early morning fire tore through their house.

The fire broke out just before 6:00 AM on Sampson Road in Greene Township.

Crews believe the fire started in the attic, and may have been caused by a chimney or a wood burning stove.

Reports from the scene say the family woke up to crackling sounds coming from the attic. They were able to get out.  Fortunately, no one was hurt.
