Lifesaving tool changing response to heart attacks

February is National Heart Month. Heart disease is America's number one killer. About 600,000 people will die of heart disease this year alone. But the Toledo Fire Department has a tool that's saving lives.

It's called the Life Pak 15, a portable EKG that's revolutionized the way EMTs in Toledo are able to treat heart attack patients.

In fact, the machine is so sophisticated, that instead of rushing patients right to the hospital, they're now doing much of the treatment right on scene.
