An Erie man is sitting behind bars, charged in connection with a murder last Summer.
26 year old Cedis Martin is charged with conspiracy to commit kidnapping.
It's in connection with the July 2012 shooting death of Teverous Williams.
Erie police have charged 29 year old Michael James with Williams' death.
Martin allegedly conspired with James to hold and threaten a witness, Christopher Barnes.
Martin allegedly held a gun to Barnes, threatening him until he committed not to testify against James in the murder.
Barnes did not testify, in fact he failed to show up to court hearings to testify, causing a judge to toss charges against both James and Martin.
Those charges though, have since been re-filed.
Both James and Martin are behind bars.
Barnes is also in jail, charged with contempt of court and other charges.
