Sylvania couple appears on “Katie”

A Sylvania couple at the center of a medical mishap shared their story on national television. Carolyn and Sean Savage described their experience on Wednesday's episode of "Katie."

In 2009, the Savages learned their fertility clinic had implanted Carolyn with another woman's embryo.

After Carolyn gave birth to baby Logan, the couple handed the child over to his biological mother.

"We put ourselves in the shoes of the other family," Carolyn said on the show. "That's what we would have wanted someone to do for us."

Katie airs every weekday at 3 p.m. on 13abc.
