A spokesperson for the IRS says that most of the hurdles caused by a late start to the filing season have been cleared.
Late changes to the tax code for 2012 delayed IRS forms and refunds until the end of January.
IRS spokesperson Jennifer Jenkins says all but a few should be cleared to file.
"There are some folks who will have to wait a little longer," she told us. "they are typically the ones claiming the less common tax credits."
The week of President's Day is traditionally one of the busiest filing weeks of the year because filers have all the forms they need and many use the long holiday weekend to crunch the numbers.
