Some local fire departments getting some help from a local organization.
Thursday night, the Elks Club presented a check for $25,000 dollars to Millcreek fire departments.
It'll be split between the 5 volunteer houses in Millcreek, to use however it's needed.
They presented the check tonight at the Elks Lodge at 24th and Peninsula.
Those with the club says tonight's donation is what their organization is all about.
"This is a benevolent organization and that's what the Elks is about is to give to needy and to help out the communities in our community to be help for kids and as a community." Said Scott Seib, of Erie Elks Lodge 67.
They raised the money through gambling revenue and fundraisers held throughout the year.
Their biggest fundraiser of the year is set for this Saturday at Rainbow Gardens. It's a gun raffle that starts 1:00 Saturday afternoon.
