It may be February, but there was plenty of golfing going on Saturday at MECA's 14th annual Bar Stool Open.
This year, it took place throughout 19 different locations in downtown Erie.
This is an yearly fundraiser for MECA, an organization that helps children and adults with disabilities.
Those participating say helping the community makes this event that much more fun.
"Its a great deal because you get to have a good time, meet a lot of new people, but its also for a good cause," said Robert Allen, who came up from Pittsburgh for the event.
"MECA does so much for the community that more companies should pitch in and help make this thing as big as we can get it," said Ray Stolz, owner of Picasso's.
Last year, over $40,000 was raised for MECA.
