CINCINNATI (AP) - The juvenile court trial of a Cincinnati high
school girl accused of beating up a female classmate was postponed
because a surveillance video from that day disappeared.
The 14-year-old teen and her mother were charged in the classroom scuffle that left a 15-year-old with cuts and bruises.
The Cincinnati Enquirer reports the daughter's attorney says he received no classroom video
and wants to know if video was improperly destroyed. Cincinnati school
district lawyers say some video that apparently existed no longer
exists.
Authorities say the 14-year-old hit her classmate
with fists, feet and a combination lock while the 14-year-old's mother
held the classmate down.
The daughter is charged with aggravated trespassing
and assault counts. The mother says the 15-year-old attacked her and
her daughter Feb. 7 at the school.
