General Electric Transportation is helping to support three organizations who care for children with the 18th annual Bid for Kids event. The event at the Bayfront Convention Center drew a big crowd. The benefit included dinner and both live and silent auctions.
More than twenty packages were up for bid, from a kayak excursion at Presque Isle to a personalized ride on the G-E test track to a Cleveland Cavs game package. Money raised through the auction benefits three local children's charities, Shriners Hospitals for Children, the Make-a-Wish foundation and the Boys & Girls clubs. Last year the event raised $38-thousand dollars.
