Students at Edinboro University should have a lot easier time walking across campus next winter.
Construction is on time, and on budget on a unique, glass enclosed elevated walkway linking the two sides of the campus. It is tied to a major renovation of Ross Hall, housing the school's math and computer science departments. The walkway means all students, including those in wheelchairs can avoid a difficult walk in the winter.
Edinboro President Dr. Julie Wollman said, "It is a very steep hill down there, across a brook and a narrow little bridge. It is kind of a curving pathway that is very, very difficult especially for our students in wheelchairs to traverse."
The walkway is scheduled to be done by the end of October.
And the newly renovated Ross Hall should be open by early next year.
