An early-morning wake-up call for fire crews in the city. It came in a little before 3:00am this morning. Smoke and flames in a house along East 23rd Street in between Ash and Reed Streets.
At least one person was inside at the time, but they got out unharmed. It took crews about an hour to put it out. They did manage to keep the fire from spreading to any nearby homes. They'll head back to the fire scene later today to search for a cause.
