WOODVILLE, Ohio -
1" to 2" of precipitation fell from Tuesday into Wednesday in a variety of forms (rain, snow, freezing rain, sleet), and the Portage River is now flooding.
Flood Warnings are in effect along the river's course through Wood, Ottawa and Sandusky Counties.
In Woodville, the river rose 8' since Tuesday morning, putting it about 1' above flood stage this Thursday.
Much of Trail Marker Park is under water, according to the National Weather Service.
The river has crested in Woodville, and will return below flood stage on Friday.
