Woman seriously injured in Monroe Twp. crash

Autumn Lujan, 20, of Flat Rock, Michigan was seriously injured Saturday evening in a crash on Telegraph Road, just north of South Custer Rd, in Monroe Township.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Department says Ms. Lujan was driving south on Telegraph around 9:30 p.m. when she traveled off the roadway, drove over a curb and struck a utility pole at the intersection of South Custer Road.

She suffered multiple injuries from the crash. She was taken to Mercy Hospital in Monroe and later transported to St. Vincent's Mercy Hospital in Toledo by air ambulance. She is listed in critical condition.

She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, but both air bags deployed.

The accident is still under investigation.
