Erie Police have been calling the death of 35-year-old Aderian Page suspicious, since his body was found on Thursday. This weekend, it was confirmed, and police now are investigating a homicide.
"We have to be tight-lipped at the scene, but it was pretty evident when we examined him at the scene that it was a suspicious death," said Erie County Deputy County Korac Timon. "With the injuries, there's no question that he was assaulted and the manner of death is a homicide."
Timon said page died of blunt force trauma to the head. We asked Timon if the cinder blocks found at the scene were used. He said where the body was found was by a torn-down garage, and the cement blocks there, at this point, don't appear to be the cause.
Page was last seen Friday, February 22, leaving his home about 5:30 PM. He was found almost a week later in a backyard, just a few houses down from his own on East 24th Street.
"We don't believe that his injuries occurred at where he was found, but that hasn't been confirmed yet," said Timon.
District Attorney Jack Daneri said his office and police are interviewing witnesses, and trying to find out just what happened in this case.
