Erie Police Investigate Shots Fired Call

Erie police investigated reports of shots fired, on the west side Monday night.

It happened just before 9:00 p.m. at 16th and Myrtle.

Police spotted a trail of blood, and looked for shell casings at the scene.
They also checked area hospitals, looking for a possible gun shot victim.

Neighbors reported hearing about 5 gunshots, but it was unclear how many shots were fired, or how many people were involved.

At last check, police hadn't found a victim or any shell casings at the scene.
