Severe Weather Exercise

Schools, hospitals, nursing homes and other facilities in our region today took part in the annual statewide weather exercise.

 In Crawford County, that including blaring tornado warning sirens.

 Radio stations in Meadville also let listeners know about the drill.

 While emergency management coordinators gathered at the Crawford County Courthouse to go over their plans to deal with tornadoes, severe thunderstorms and floods.

 The exercise is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and the National Weather Service.
