TOLEDO, Ohio -
For the past day or so, it has been clear that the bulk of tonight's storm system will pass to the south of Toledo.
However, there was a time, two or three days ago, when there were many questions surrounding this storm's track.
Viewers sometimes wonder WHY the forecast changes.
We're not throwing darts, rolling dice, our consulting the Ouija board.
Every six hours, your tax dollars are at work as the National Centers for Environmental Prediction updates the American computer models.
We rely heavily on those models, as well as others produced by the Canadian government, plus another model that produces global forecasts from Europe.
With each model run, any given storm is theoretically forecast better and better, as the models have a clearer view of the state of the atmosphere as the storm in question draws near.
