Murder defendant Damar Jordan says he asked for a lawyer. The investigators say he didn't.
Who Judge Shad Connelly believes is right will determine if statements made to police by Jordan will be heard at trial.
Jordan is charged with the shooting death of Kendall Bryant and the wounding of Ramone Lemon following an incident near East 7th and Wallace Streets.
During pre-trial motions an attorney for Jordan argued that anything said after an attorney was requested should be inadmissable.
But a police detective said that Jordan never requested an attorney and twice signed documents saying he didn't need one.
Judge Connelly will review the interview before ruling.
