Developer wants to renovate Berdan Building

There could be new life for an iconic building in downtown Toledo. A developer wants to renovate the Berdan building. It currently sits empty across from Fifth Third Field.

Our media partner The Blade reports a developer is considering spending $20 million to create apartments and retail space in the building.

The developer wants to close the deal at the end of the week. If approved, the plan could bring stores and more than 100 apartments to the building.
