Two state troopers are recognized as officers of the month.
They're Troopers Linda Stevick and Scott McClain, who couldn't be there to accept the award Wednesday.
The two were honored for their quick work in saving a woman's life.
They pulled her to safety, as she tried to take her own life, by jumping off a bridge.
"When we approached her she started going over the bridge intentionally, so we knew at that point that it was quite a crisis for her. So we rushed in and were able to grab her." Said Trooper Stevick.
"To say it's out of the norm, I mean everyone of them (troopers) that work here try to do the right thing every day. And I'm very proud that they were able to take decisive action and help this woman and averted a tragedy." Said Girard PSP Sgt. William Ramey.
"From what I heard it was a tense situation, and they didn't hesitate to do what they're trained to do, and in the process they saved a life." Said Assistant District Attorney Bob Sambroak.
The troopers also received a letter of commendation from the PSP Troop Commander.
