Breathalyze Yourself at Erie Bars

A local man is doing his part to keep drunk drivers off the road.

Jared Poniatowski and his company "Poni Brothers LLC" provide breathalyzer machines to local bars.

They're now in nine bars, including Sluggers Sports Bar and the Crooked I.

The machine is called a "Boozelator."  It uses a police grade sensor to determine blood alcohol levels.  You simply pay a dollar and blow into a straw.  It then gives you a reading.

"Some people use it for fun, just to see what they blow," said Poniatowski.  "But a lot of people are actually using it before they drive home...they put a dollar in there, and it can show them that they might not be able to do that."
