Contractor hits gas leak, homes evacuated

Toledo, OH -

A contractor working in the 900 block of Berry in East Toledo hit a gas line Saturday afternoon around 2 p.m.

Police evacuated five houses one side the street and had them wait across the street while the leak was capped.

The leak was successfully capped an there were no injuries.
