TOLEDO, Ohio -
The March heat of 2012 will not repeat in 2013.
It was just around this time of the year when the unusually mild air was building into Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan, 12 months ago.
Toledo's highs, from March 11th through 22nd of 2012, rose into the 60s for 3 days, then the 70s for 5 days, and then we soared into the 80s for four days.
This year, we're moving in the opposite direction, at least from March 11th through the 16th.
This coming workweek will begin with mild air and widespread rain, but after a Monday morning with temperatures near 50, temperatures will fall behind a strong cold front.
The bulk of the workweek will be more like February than March, as highs will be in the 30s and lower 40s, along with some scattered snow showers and occasional flurries.
Take heart, though, as the inevitable transition to Spring will soon be here.
Spring officially begins on March 20th.
