The father of a local stabbing victim is speaking out. He can't understand why teenagers attacked his son late Friday night, leaving the victim hospitalized with serious injuries.
The victim, 38 year old Michael Williams, Jr. is a US Marine Corps veteran and father of six children.
Erie Police say he was attacked in his driveway, in the 300 block of east 8th Street. A motive is not yet known. Police arrested a 15 year old and a 16 year old boy. And they have been questioning a third teenager.
The victim is now under treatment at UPMC-Hamot. His father calls the attack "senseless" and says he son was stabbed, kicked and beaten.
Michael Williams, Sr. said, "He has 3 stab wounds in his back. He has a fractured rib, a broken rib, abdominal bleeding, bleeding in his kidneys, a collapsed lung and multiple contusions throughout his body."
The victim's father praised Erie Police for quickly making arrests.
