BIRMINGHAM, ALA. - The University of Findlay wrestling team finished 15th at the NCAA Division II National Championship, which concluded on Saturday, March 9 in Birmingham, Ala.  The Roughnecks racked up 19.5 points during the tournament.

Junior Ben Sergent, senior Mason True, junior Adam Walters and senior Andrew Tumlin each finished as the runner-up in their respective weight classes at the regional tournament in April, for their opportunity to compete at nationals.

Walters, the 2013 GLIAC wrestler of the year, earned All-American status after finishing fourth in the 184-pound weight class. He was defeated 4-2 in the third place match by Travis Mckillop of Pitt.-Johnstown, who came into the tournament ranked first.

Tumlin was also an All-American in the 285-pound weight class, taking eighth for the Roughnecks.

Sergent and True were each eliminated from the tournament after a tough day on Friday.

Nebraska-Kearney University took the 2013 team title with 108 points.
