Medical Center Expansion

A major expansion has been completed at the Eastside Medical Center on Parade Street. The nearly $2 million expansion more than doubles the size of the complex.

 It is operated by Medical Associates of Erie, the clinical practices of LECOM.

 The  state-of-the-art complex features new equipment and much more space to handle more patients. Officials also think it will help to improve the neighborhood.

 Millcreek Community Hospital CEO Mary Eckert said, "It is two fold. Obviously to expand the services provided at the facility, and also to help with the revitalization of Parade Street and this area of the city."

 The expansion and renovation project took 2 years to complete.
