One driver was hurt, a second driver is now in custody, after a police chase ended in a crash this morning at the intersection of East 26th and Parade Street.
The U.S. Marshall's Service Fugitive Task Force was chasing the driver of a red car. He knocked over a utility pole at East 28th and Parade Street, then slammed into a car that was driving on East 26th Street.
The collision was so violent the red car began smoking. The woman driver of the second car was injured, and taken to UPMC Hamot for treatment.
The driver of the car being chased ran away. But he was quickly arrested.
Witness Shawn Myers said, "He bailed. They tasered him. Right down the street on the other side of Pulakos, and took him down to jail."
