TSA Checkpoint Items End Up in PA

       Every year, about 750 thousand items are surrendered at airport checkpoints.  Illegal things like guns, grenades, and brass knuckles are handed over to local law enforcement.  Prohibited items, including knives, and large tools are sent to the nearest state willing to accept them.  That would be Pennsylvania.  Many items end up at a storage facility in Harrisburg.  The Keystone state has brought in nearly $900,000 over the past 9 years, selling those confiscated checkpoint items.
