UPMC Rehab Center Opens

A new rehabilitation center is now open on Erie's east side. A ribbon cutting ceremony today marked the opening of a UPMC Center for Rehab Services.

 It is the 6th location for the centers in our area. They provide a wide range of physical therapy services. Planners say having a spot on the east side is a big plus.

 UPMC's Jenny Kupczyk said, "The location, we want to make it convenient for the patients, depending on where they live and work.  We had 5 locations. This is the 6th one. It really helps with the convenience. That is the main goal for us, to get patients in and get them better as quickly as possible. So if we can be more convenient that is our goal."
