As long as the clouds stay
away, we'll be able to see Comet Pan-STARRS in the twilight tonight.
The comet looks a little
bigger than a star, and it will be just about as bright. The one thing that
will make it stand out is its tail.
Go outside between 7:30
and 8:30 pm and look west near the horizon. The comet will be located under the
slim crescent moon.
If you don't happen to
catch the comet tonight, you'll still have plenty of time. Comet Pan-STARRS will
be in the west sky through the end of March.
Once we get into April,
the comet will become too dim to see with the naked eye.
