Accident Shuts Down Traffic on Wattsburg Road

A rollover accident forced police to shut down Route 8 or Wattsburg road in Millcreek.  The accident happened about 9:30 PM. 

According to Millcreek Police who responded to the scene, a male driver was heading south, near Schrimper road at a high rate of speed, when he lost control of his car, and crossed into the northbound lane. Investigators say the driver's car hit an embankment then rolled over several times.

First responders say the driver was conscious and alert at the scene. His vehicle was heavily damaged, but police don't believe driver was seriously hurt.  There were no passengers in the car.
