Erie, PA - The future of Presque Isle Bay will be on the agenda at a meeting set for later today. The Presque Isle Bay Advisory Committee will hold its first meeting since the Department of Environmental Protection officially removed the bay from it's list of trouble spots along the Great Lakes.
The bay had been on that so-called "areas of concern" list since 1991 because of pollution that led to problems like fish tumors. But years worth of efforts to clean up the bay resulted in the government taking it off the list. The Advisory Committee will talk about what that decision means as far as maintaining a clean bay goes. We'll have a full report on the meeting coming up tonight on 12News and SEE News.
