Governor Tom Corbett says he will rework the contract with Camelot Global Services to run the state's multi-billion dollar lottery system.
He is doing so in hopes of convincing Attorney General Kathleen Kane to approve the contract.
By law the Attorney General must approve state contracts and Kane originally decided that the initial contract violated the state constitution.
Corbett says he is hoping to provide "clarity" to the situation, but is not elaborating on what changes will be made or why he feels that those changes can change the mind of the Attorney General.
The Governor has also extended the deadline on the contract until June 30th, but has returned a 50 million dollar down payment the company made to the state.
