A Harborcreek teen may well spend both his 20th and 21st birthdays in jail, after being sentenced for the shooting death of his friend.
19-year old John Schlick will spend the next 18 months to four years in jail, for the shooting death of his friend, 19-year old Marshall Curl.
The two were with others in the Schlick basement when John Schlick got out his father's gun. It discharged into the chest of Curl who did not survive.
Schlick pled guilty in February to involuntary manslaughter in a deal that dropped the more serious 1st degree aggravated assault charge.
That shooting took place September 18th.
