Lucas still near bottom of county health rankings

A new national ranking puts Lucas County near the bottom when it comes to overall health in Ohio. The rankings look at childhood poverty, rates of smoking, obesity levels, as well as access to physicians and dentists, rates of high school and college graduation and levels of physical activity.

Several counties in our area did well. Putnam County came in 2^nd, Wood County was 7^th, Fulton was 10^th, and Ottawa was ranked 11^th.

Lucas County didn't do as well. It ranked 68th out of the 88 counties in Ohio. That's up just slightly from last year, when Lucas ranked 72nd.
