A new national ranking
puts Lucas County
near the bottom when it comes to overall health in Ohio. The rankings look at childhood
poverty, rates of smoking, obesity levels, as well as access to physicians and
dentists, rates of high school and college graduation and levels of physical
activity.

Several counties in our
area did well. Putnam County came in 2nd, Wood
County was 7th, Fulton was 10th, and Ottawa was ranked 11th.
Lucas County didn't do as well. It
ranked 68th out of the 88 counties in Ohio.
That's up just slightly from last year, when Lucas ranked 72nd.
