Fremont City Schools issued an alert to parents after administrators report two "stranger danger" incidents.
According to the message sent to parents, there were two incidents of an unidentified male approaching middle school students on their way to school Thursday morning.
The man was described as a light-complected Hispanic male in his mid to late 30s with a thin build, dark hair and a goatee. Authorities say he was driving a dark blue or black Ford pick-up truck with tinted windows and a matching cap.
The message goes on to say the Fremont Police Department increased patrols near school buildings Thursday, and additional safety precautions will be taken when students are arriving and leaving school.
School officials are also reminding children about stranger safety protocols and urging families to reinforce this safety message with their children.
Anyone who may have seen anything unusual or has any information on the incidents is asked to call Fremont Police at 419-332-6464.
