This first full day of Spring didn't look much like Spring at all.
The snow was still coming down, with more promised in the coming days.
Much to the dismay of many here in Erie, the snow blowers are back out, and the car brushes are back in the trunk.
"I looked out the window said, 'oh gosh now what?'" said David Hull of Erie, who was out shoveling sidewalks as snow continued to fall.
People in Erie aren't warming up to Spring's wintry welcome.
"My dad was just saying he's had it with this weather he wants Spring to come," said ten year old Joseph Previte of Erie, who was also out shoveling. "He wants warm weather now ."
"It's Spring so I'd really like nice weather, but hopefully this is our last snowstorm we're gonna get," said optimistic Mercyhurst student Alycia Norton.
"I don't like it... I''ve had it from winter," said disgruntled Erie resident Ron Fox, after maneuvering his snow blower around his driveway and sidewalk.
the weather has caused headaches for the streets department too.
"We're trying to get the roads ready for paving season... so it slowed us down a little bit," said Jeff Gibbens, a supervisor for the Erie Streets Department. "We were just starting to get into the potholes again."
They expected the unpredictable though, and were ready to react.
"All the guys are still on Winter schedule so we didn't take anybody off," said Gibbens. "All the guys were here, so we have seven salt trucks on the road about 12 snow plows, so we're handling it."
Even though people would love to be done scraping off their cars and shoveling their driveways, some people actually don't mind the late blast .
"I like to at least do fun stuff in the snow like snowmobiling snowboarding," said Norton, "I try to make the most of it ."
"I make five bucks every time I shovel," said Previte.
"I don't mind it, especially this kind of snow," said Doug Jones of Erie. "It's nice and light... it's
good for the ski resorts."
Some Erie natives have learned to accept Erie weather's wild ways.
"We have snow into April don't we? " questioned Jones.
"We keep the guys on usually til St Patrick's day, sometimes a week after," said Gibbens. "It's Erie, the wind blows, it changes the weather, it could be 60 one day and 20 the next."
