Homeowner stabs burglar in garage

A Monroe Township man wandered into his garage Friday morning encountered an unwelcome guest. It happened in the 1000 block of Union Street.

Sheriff's deputies say the homeowner heard someone in his garage. When he went in, he spotted the crook and began fighting with him.

During the scuffle, deputies say the homeowner stabbed the 20-year-old suspect.

The crook ran off, but he was later arrested when he showed up at the hospital to be treated for the stab wound.
