The African American Legacy Project has a new home. All of the artifacts are in the process of being moved. Today we got a tour of the new facility.
The African American Legacy Project will share its new home with Ascension Lutheran Church. Soon you'll see a sign out front.
Some of the historical photos and displays are already at the new location, but the project's founder Robert Smith says there's a lot more work to do.
Smith says, once the move and makeover is complete, the organization will begin giving tours, sharing the rich history Toledo has to offer.
The African American Legacy Project is hosting an Easter egg hunt for the kids in the community next Sunday. It will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., and it's free.
