Some brave souls went bald today, for a Saint Baldrick's Foundation fundraiser.
Mercyhurst University used the bold ploy to raise money for childhood cancer research through the Saint Baldrick's Foundation.
The schools student public relations group put out the call for willing participants, who raised pledge money to shave their heads in honor of child cancer patients.
One woman shaved her head in solidarity with her son, who has been battling leukemia since August 2011.
The Mercyhurst students raised over $1,400 with the event.
