Lourdes University head women's volleyball coach Greg Reitz has announced that Angie Perez has signed a letter of intent and will play for the Gray Wolves beginning this fall.
Perez, an outside hitter from Toa Baja, P.R., was the AAECA Most Valuable Player in 2011 helping Bayamon Military Academy to the Copa el Nuevo Dia. He also helped her all-star team, Avoli Llaneras to the Jeep Volleyball Championship in 2012.
"Angie is a dynamic athlete with a strong volleyball IQ," Reitz stated. "She has solid ball control skills. She will be in our competitive outside hitter group vying for time in the fall."
Lourdes finished the 2012 season 14-18 overall and 5-6 in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference, finishing in seventh place. The Gray Wolves won their first WHAC tournament game in program history this past season before falling the conference quarterfinals.
