Tensions high at city council Thursday night, as some angry Erie residents came to ask for help
They live near Mercyhurst University, which they say is becoming a daily problem.
So, they came to council's meeting to explain.
Their argument: there are constant problems with noise, underage drinking, and parking issues.
Councilman Jim Winarski says listening to what residents have to say, is the first step in correcting the problems.
"We're going to work with the zoning department, and the administration to see if there's something we can do. Are we going to solve all the problems? No. Can we alleviate some of the problems? I'm confident we can." Said Winarski.
This isn't the first time the residents have approached council about these issues.
In January, council launched a study session about the neighbors' complaints.
