Toledo nearly set a school record for a second-straight tournament as it cruised to a 21-stroke victory at the EKU Colonel Classic. UT carded a 29-over par 893 (296-300-297) which is one stroke away from the school mark set two previous times.
Freshman Sathika Ruenreong (74-72-74=220) and junior Kate Hoops (72-76-73) paced the Rockets with career-best second- and third-place showings, respectively, to lead UT to its third tournament win at EKU in the last seven years.
Ruenreong recovered from a double bogey and bogey on two of her first three holes to play one-under par for the rest of her round. Hoops also played well after a disappointing start as she played the back nine at two-under to finish with a team-best one-over 73 today.

Sophomore Megan Carroll competed as an individual and tied for 67th place at 30-over par 246 (83-78-85).
Ball State's Jenna Hague (74-72-73) edged out Ruenreong for medalist honors at three-over par 219.
