Gannon Prays for Boston Marathon Victims

Posted: Updated:

Students and staff at Gannon University gathered to pray for the victims of the Boston Marathon attack.   Organizers from staff, students and campus ministry say they felt the need to come together to offer hope, not just for Boston, but for the country.

"We need to reach out and be in solidarity with those affected by this tragedy across the country and around the world," said Gannon President Dr.Keith Taylor.

Father Michael Kesicki from campus ministry said there is hope even the darkness of this event.  "The reaction of so many people was to run toward the blast site," said Fr. Kesicki, "they wanted to help, that's a really great sign of the presence of hope and love in our midst."

The prayer service lasted about twenty minutes.
