With some in-season acquisitions, the Penguins have only one thing in mind starting on Wednesday night. Win the Stanley Cup. Anything else will be disappointing. Consistency. That's what you need to win it. On special teams (PP and PK), solid goaltending, no stupid penalties, etc. Talk about consistency, the Pens were 18-6 at home and 18-6 on the road. The question is the return of Sid Crosby, when he'll be back and how effective he will be but the bottom line, even in Crosby's case, he's just a piece of the puzzle, a big piece no doubt, but just a piece. They will need all the lines to score, all the defenseman to play well so on and so forth. With the shortened season, those teams that got going fast and then adjusted are ready to go and the Penguins appear to be one of those teams. It starts Wednesday night against the Islanders in Pittsburgh.
